Seiko for budget RM 1000?

Hi Sifus, plan to get a Seiko, again LOL.. My budget is around Rm 1k. Prefered is diver, looks like submariner.. Automatic movement, if possible not to get 7xxx series..

Being quoted by someone SKX007 metal bracelet for RM +-800.. Pls advice..

Actually you can buy Sumo diver in KL for close to USD 800-900 but not entire range is available as the dealer brings in unofficially.

I thought I saw someone posted in MWF an orient that look a sub , was tempted to get 1 myself too to see how it look on my wrist before I pull the trigger .

imo, the nicest looking sub lookalike under rm1000 that you can buy in shops right now goes to the Orient Ray.
but with its sportier bezel, it actually leans more towards the new omega seamaster pro.

i never understood why the skx007 is considered as a sub lookalike, sure from the front there is a slight semblance, but from the side it looks pretty tool-ish.

The Samurais from the previous decade. If I recall, there are two Seiko models which are referred to (perhaps loosely) as "Samurai". The SBDA00X (Prospex Titanium, maybe JDM only) and the SNM011 (stainless steel). The Titanium model is fitted with the 21J Cal.7S25. The Stainless steel model comes with the 23J Cal.7S35.
