Dilemma

Been looking at nice watches lately and now can't decide... should I get one (1) brand new Rolex Sub/GMT.... or two (2) pre-owned watches (one rolex, old Sub and one entry level panerai for my wife - so that she won't bising)... both add up around the same price...maybe 3-5 k more....

If the budget doesnt allow u to make brand new purchases, there is no harm in buying pre owned watches. We've gotta start somewhere but make sure it is from a reputable place. Sometimes u get a place that swaps out the internals of the watch without u knowing.

Alternatively, buy yours first brand new, then buy another later.

wanted to buy a recon e250 cabrio or a5 cabrio lately, but final decision is keep my e66 (5 year) and mini cabrio (6 year) .......

Depreciation of my old car is lower, i can enjoy comfort (e66, with hard top some more) n topless fun driving with my little mini and MX5 

btw money is my main concern

anyway, back to the OP, i strongly suggest pre-owned with Rolex. get one from a trusted dealer in good condition. better if they've been in business a long time. some of them actually give a 2 year warranty and a good watchmaker in-house to show they stand behind what they sell.

negotiating a good price for pre-owned is quite fun as you will need to research prices before making an offer.

dude get the pre owned!!! way more 4 ure money... but then again if you buy a new one soner or later it'll be a used one for me and you paid the extra

firstly, you need to determine which model you like. then, there's a few forum sites selling pre-owned watches. get to know the approximate year made (from the serial numbers) and their selling prices. after that, go to a pre-owned dealer and tell them what you want to pay for the watch.

You have to know that what you are buying is original... Always ensure that when buying preowned rolex the certificate is available..

as posted many times, Rolex certificate may be fake too. make sure the seller can be trusted. what's important is the watch is 100% genuine.
