Watch & Watch Accesories Import Export

hi guys

anyone know anything about import and export regarding the watches and watches accesorries?
i just get advise from a local watch seller that,
we import watches is duty free from Malaysia, but it not for watches accesorries? we might get taxes if we import watch accesorries? as what i been told, few parcel is not a problem but in a long term kastam will have a list and will 1 shot BOM you. is it true?
as what i read from kastam website the item import item taxes list , it stated watch or watch accessories is duty free and no tax.

anyone have any idea? how to declare my parcel import into malaysia? what to do if i want to do import?

Hi khanwooi,

I did imported more than 10 watches from oversea separately, custom no any issue on taxes but you have to very careful on the safety problem, it might lose your parcel during transportation in Malaysia. Make sure you use good transport company and insurance.

For the accessories, if small quantity should not a problem (like strap) but if you talk about winder then is difference issue. I bought one winder from US and blocked by custom, they want me pay 20% for the purchase price even I explain to them winder consider one of the watches accessories and the function for it but the custom official just reply me 'if you want to claim your parcel, pay the tax'

You may better double check with the custom if you import big quantity for business purpose and is there any taxes. (better with black and white)

hi alright since the basic small normal accesories is not a worry,

what i heard from is, the kastam will by pass let you pass, for while, but after few years let say you really bought too many and the kastam able to list the record out, then they once shot claim all the taxes is it possible?

or is it once the item is by pass kastam then that it, habis cerita? will they korek those thing and caim the taxes?

I have to step in here.
This is simple, check with customs. If they say these need to be taxed then PAY the tax that you are suppose to.
We will not teach you how to "avoid" paying tax and the loop holes in the custom laws.
