Im not a SE enthusiats.. Especially what was announced just now...

Why?

1. No moolah to buy any SE
2. Even if hv $ will probably never get one of those limited # 100/500 pcs etc..  8) wayyyyyy down below the rank and standard to be having one
3. To me those 372 & 390 still FTW imo.. ( congrats for those who own one)

Are those 10 models going to be the only models released for 2012? Or are they going to announce the rest later?

Yeah I am sure the prices of the SE will be out of this world, but then again the PAM00390 was not (but I would not hold my breath). Also the chances of getting one.... well you know, the game and all. With Panerai planning to open 50 (total) boutiques, the chances are even slimmer, 10 per boutique (if at all).

It would be nice to get the PAM00448 and/ or the PAM00449, but I think the chances of getting the PAM00425 is more realistic and I suspect it will be priced around the PAM00372, which is not too bad.

As I understand it, all models will be released in 2012 (maybe 2013, maybe 2014) but again I will not hold my breath as some of the 2011 models have yet to see the light of day.

Good news is the PAM00422 is (maybe) not an SE and the PAM00372 is still on the list for 2012 (so the production continues, but don't know if it is part of the original 3,500 pieces or new production under 'O').

As for 'the rest' it seems to be Panerai policy or modus operandi of late to release SE/ LE in the later half of the year, Sept to Dec, perhaps to make up the numbers (sales target?). So we wait and see and join the circus.

Updated, the PAM00372 may be discontinued. Sorry for the confusion.

with all the inhouse p3000 movement, pams are moving up in price.
but at least this year we don't see too many precious metals used. mostly S/Steel so it's still ok.

PAM422 is going to be a regular production, i received a confirmation from boutique a few months back. but who knows when they start delivery.

as for PAM372, they did say 3500 pcs was going to be produced and most likely, that's it. so it's going to be a LE (like 366/367 etc.).
So get a PAM372 while you still can :)

Yeah looks like Panerai is moving up the food chain. As for the PAM00422, based on their track record, I guess after the world ends in Dec 2012.  ::) ;D

Nothing interesting this year! Nothing that can match the 372 and 382 released last year.
