Tourbillon watches for Sport
« on: October 03, 2011, 02:32:48 PM »
Just want to know beside RM and Graham's tourbillon watches being Chronofiable certified, any other brand???

Curious due to all this while I thought tourbillon watches only for dressing, not for sport, but was wrong  :Blue:
Still long long way to learn....

There are many toubillon watches which are chronograph in nature. But I am not sure if they are certified (by COSC??) or not.
Example:
1) Audemars Piguet Millenary MC12 Tourbillon Chronograph
2) Hublot's Complicated F1 Tourbillon Chronograph Watch
3) Zenith 96.0529.4035/51.M Defy Xtreme Tourbillon Titanium Chronograph Watch
4) Breguet Marine Tourbillon Chronograph (Model: 5837br/92/5zu, Price: USD$124,394.00.)
etc

Note : Blancpain created the ultra-complicated Self-Winding Tourbillon Split-Seconds Flyback Chronograph watch back in the year 2001 (start research in 1999) costing US $115,000

+1.
You are correct, nazritan. We will cherish the piece on our wrist, unlike those filthy rich people who wore as if it is just something not worth it on their wrist but for publicity sake only.

Don't think so its given to Nadal for free. He has to "advertise" it for a certain time. Usually, a product manager will arrange for such thing like getting different models for different functions and press exposures.

Its norm for rich folks to have nothing much to worry about (*besides his own life) or things to keep value (maybe gold). Known a fella who uses his Vertu phone as a newspaper weigh.. but he is humble nevertheless.

I heard the one on Nadal's wrist is like USD500k  :o,  I think for people who use hard cash to buy, sure will not wear it for sports. What I understand or may be wrong is that if the tourbillon watches are not Chronofiable, then it is quite fragile, or rather wear it with extra care. Well, I never own a tourbillon watches, so dont know how truth is it? Anyone read anything somewhere that say otherwise???

If I have that kind of money, 90% will go into properties; the rest will get a solid bling bling gold Lolex,  & only wear it when being conferred the YAB Ikan Bilis investiture

Ya, me too.
90% goes into properties, 5% into shares, balance as per YAB Zitan's remarks.

if i can afford USD 500k for a watch, i would imagine i can afford much more thing...after all watch cant be first priority in life...mush have good house, good car...therefore i think instead of buying nadal watch, maybe i buy a few below 50k watches for fun, and the rest goes to my kampung...charity, or maybe build some facilities for my kampung people...free library, or free cyber cafe, maybe give some to mosque , church and tample, and give some to poor people...and owh yes, my primary school, i would definitely want to put in money to my primary school....free books, computer, food, etc etc...that would be better ....hehehhe
