standard 2824-2 accuracy and winder setting
« on: January 02, 2016, 11:06:04 PM »
Hi. Firstly, this is a similar topic like the previous one , the Pelagos accuracy, don't want to mix up, so I post another topic.

1. I had acquire the Certina DS Action Diver recently. I had try to monitor the movement accuracy , I'm pretty sure it use standard ETA 2824-2.

My method might be not right or not very accurate to monitor the movement accuracy. I use to sync my watch time to the iPad, handphone and digital watch stopwatch function to compare the +- s/day. I had wear it, put in on winder or just put in the box at various position while monitoring the time.

The result, my watch is average +24s/day. Within 48 hours test, +1-2minute. Is is acceptable? Or should I send it to SC to regulate the movement immediately?

2. Is it ok to rise the watch winder TPD (turn per day) from 650 to 3600 to shorten the winding time for eta 2824-2? I put the watch on the winder at higher TPD at certain period i.e 3 hours. Sometime I use my winder just to fully wound the mainspring then monitor the power reserve. Will the mainspring or other part of the movement will damage or wear out quickly?

*2824-2 (650 TPD)
