To service or not to service? Help plz

Hi all...

I had bought the Ball Trainmaster TMT (LE) in 2012 and had been my daily beater till today. Recently, realised the power reserve wasnt that good and seconds movement wasn't that smooth. So sent it for "checkup" in TxC in AmCorp  and kaboom.. :

Quoted total service costs about 12 - 15% of the RSP due to :
1) require overhaul
2) need replace main spring, barrel n etc
3) polishing

Question is, it wasnt a big issue to me (the problem of power reserve n movement). Therefore, shld i juz leave it (dun service) or shld i juz let the experts handle it? The only problem is $$$. 4-figures for the repair... and abit short of $$$ now... lol

Your kind and experienced advice is needed plz...

I don't think a two years watch need spring and barrel replacement under normal use condition. Just like automobile, you do not change the piston and gearbox in their early stage of service life unless subject to abuse.

Exactly... dats y im having doubts... its a complete overhaul lol...

and yes, 4 figures...  i could pm u d exact amount if u wan... lol
I gotta say though, its runnin on 2892.a2 (d so called higher end movement)...

Ball give three years warranty...yours only two years till have one year... sent to ball service

Doesn't sound realistic to me.. 2 years watch required overhaul and the damage is 4 figures? have u try SC instead?
