Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon NEDU
« on: December 27, 2012, 12:25:30 AM »
Hi everyone,

I've been eyeing this watch lately to begin my "affiliation" with Ball watches. The "luminous" thing really making me nuts!! I noticed that this model do come with the blue dial & diving rubber strap instead of the normal white or black dial with the standard titanium-steel bracelet. However, after "watch-hunting" at several AD that carry this brand I found out that they only have the black or white dial version only!! Anyone knows where to find the "blue dial" version here? Also what's your general opinion about this watch? To spend something circa rm10k on watches besides the usual, more popular brands like rollies, pams etc is something worth to have a proper discussion for me.. :police:Thanks in advance everyone..

In response to your question, Ball watches are sturdy and solid, the movement is reliable and for the money, the technology is incredible. It is a really good for value-for-money watch. But in relations to spending RM10k for it, I would now spend RM10k on a pre-owned Rolex. That is just me. But if you want to go for a brand new watch, Ball watches are the way to go. Either that or if you look hard enough, some Omegas can be had for a similiar price.

Ball is nice watch anyway, if compare with the same range watch like Oris and Fortis, Ball still take the lead..

+1

One more note, Ball is owned by a Hong Kong family now. Not that is a big issue. Just wanna keep you guys informed because very few people are awaring of it. I for one wont spend 10k on ball.

Thanks for all yr opinion guys..I just bought a pre owned storm chaser recently and to be honest i think it worth every penny of it. With regards to NEDU i still haven't finalised my decision yet. Almost paid deposit for the "blue dial" version since need to pre-order 1st because its not available here but somehow it didn't materialise due to certain issue. One of it is like some of u guys said, by adding a few k's more i can upgrade to basic PAM, old subs or some other brands.Mbe i should let the temptation cool down a bit & wait for another few mths. & perhaps by then it will be available in the grey market..  ;D

Was having problem choosing ceramic n NEDU... But with a bit of hesitation I got my NEDU today in the afternoon just now....

N gosh the casing for the watch is huge!! LOL

And I myself  as diver was surprised tht they include a life buoy in it... A bonus.

Even tho most diver don't dive with watch now (they dive with a dive comp like suunto, marez etc) it is still a very good watch to wear.... As I just got it, it is unfair for me to comment on it  yet.
