Review of the Zeppelin 7360-1 Flatline Watch
« on: November 01, 2011, 12:58:51 PM »
I got this watch from my company as an appreciation for long term service. Its a Zeppelin 7360-1 series Flatline watch. A made in Germany watch with a Japanese automatic movement (Citizen's). The leather is Italian.

I dubbed this watch as my Axis watch (WWII: Germany, Japan, Italy).

Relatively simple watch with an open heart at the 7 o'clock position which shows the Miyota movement. There is no date or day indicator. The white dial and the font used is very suited for this watch. It gives the old Germanic feel to it.

The transparent back and the side walls of the casing was nicely curved. This gives it a more refine and more expensive feeling to the watch.

The next two shots shows you how thin the watch is.

Due to the lack of space, the main springs do not have the same capacity of other typical automatic watches. On average, 24 hours is the maximum time the springs can keep the momentum running in the watch. Nevertheless, the Miyota movement does allow the wearer to charge up the main springs by winding.

hi

Zeppelin, there always is 2 type one with mineral glass and another with saphire glass.
their quartz / mechanical mineral glass is about 1K-1.5K, and mechanical with saphire glass can reach to 3-4K
as i know they using japanese mechanical movement for mineral glass, but for the saphire glass might using other movement,
the seller cant provide the exact spec, but need to really look into the movement to determine the price.

but before the seller really show me the 2 different, mineral and saphire. i have really look with my own eye
it like land and heaven, u can differentiate it, the saphire glass is really clear and quality.

the 1 i aim and faint for it is zeppelin 7680-1, i cannot found it.
and there is few modal same design but different spec diff price. but i like the outlook, i dont mind get the cheapest and low spec.
please refer pic.

That is a nice Zeppelin 7690-1 picture.
Can check with the local AD if they have it. If this model is discontinued, then can check the pre-used market.

Meoramri,

Nice Zep. Is the movement decorated-not clear from the pic?

Just the company stamp and some wordings to commemorate the same. Otherwise the movement is clean.

Sorry, my Bad.
Typo error, should be like you mentioned 7680-1.
Pre-used market means second-hand watch market or even on the internet.
But internet transaction must becareful, takut kena "conned".

Just bought the same model last week without knowing about the brand and the movement. Anyway, it is a good basic watch for me.
