Lovely shots, david
From your X-10 or have you upgraded to X-20 ?
Love the DOF
On my X-Pro APS-C sensor with macro lens even with aperture at 11/16 the DOF is still too shallow.
Maybe I shld get a X-20 to use for macros.
Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.

el118, that would be great  ;D

chris, not really macro guy, but i'm sure GS own love to take their own watch piece's close up photo, just like a few famous photographer particularly love to shoot JLC and Lange (if you know who) :)

sean, yes indeed very small watch, with today trend more ppl love to go for bigger watch, for my case i turn big watch into smaller nowaday :p

Joseph, i'm using NEX + 30 macro lens, doubt X10/20 can do that, my shot was f8 to f16, maybe due to shorter focal length compare to your 60mm lens :)

if x20 can do it... i will buy straight.... :Laughing_on_floor:

i love macro shots....

but not watch can still look so beautiful under macro lens...

if you post some side by side photo comparison.... i believe, GS become even more poison

no doubt x20 can do as close as this, but the camera only can do macro on wide angle, means there will be distortion

any sugg on which watch to side by side? normal seiko VS GS ?  ;D

CKL1213, there are always a cure for poison

David, these are unbelievable macro shots that you manage to capture on the dial and casework. Certainly the most impressive I had come across on the SBGW047.

Seiko Vs GS is ok to show why are you paying more for GRAND

Rolex Vs Gs is for you to tell with rm5-10k cheaper than rolex, are you getting a as fine watch or a finer watch

Lange Vs GS is is for you to tell how fine is who....
