Do you set the moon phase on your watches?
« on: April 18, 2012, 12:17:46 PM »
Guys,

As per topic...do you guys reset the moonphase when you wind the watch after not wearing it for sometime?

I find it chore ..to keep resetting it as its difficult to know the exact moon phase unlike the time and date.

Fire away..

I have 3 moonphase watches i.e.
JLC Master Moon, Glashutte Original Perpetual Calendar & Omega Speedmaster Moonphase. (last one was sold recently)
I like to make sure the mp is set correctly. Its quite easy. Set the moonphase at its full moon and advance by the number of days that the current date is after the last full moon date using the chart.
Its nice to look at...

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.
