How much do you spend on your watch collection?

I see a lot of watch lovers and collectors in this forum. I am just curious to know how much does each of you spend on your watch collection every year? This includes all watch upgrade, exchange, maintenance (change of straps etc.), watch winder etc.

Don't quote me $, just quote me a % of your income.

I am not sure if this is a sensitive question... Pardon me if it is...

For me... I will not spend more than 10%.

Maybe in a year that I get good bonus i will make and impulse buy.

I know for a watch enthusiast this may seem TOO LOW???

10% can also be a lot if, for example, your annual income is 1 mil.

Never did keep count but my fast depleting bank account is definitely telling me that I spend too much on this crazy hobby.

Haha luckily i can resist the temptation.
Well i think to begin with i dun have much to spend.
Going to all these GTG aint helping much either haha.
i try to limit myself to mayb one big purchase every few years.
Between my SD and the moonwatch it was close to 7yrs !
Before that i still didnt discover TZ forum and this one.

i bought 12 watches last year from tag to franck muller.....just 2 weeks ago i sold a 9 watches (most of them were what i bought last year)....crazy...

beginning this year...bought an AP ROO...now waiting for 2 watches to arrive

i usually buy on impulse....sigh....

Come to think of it. Many people buy on impulse..... many moon ago, I just did that. buy what I fancied.

Buy for the sake of short? term owning. After that satisfied with one purchase, feel bored very fast and time to move on for another one. Never owned any watch for a good 6 months or more.....

Now on semi retirement mode...just have to be carefull on the next purchase...which explained ..still now - did not have a decent 'good' watch for daily wear...

Percentage?...what percentage???..just buy lah. but now had regroup most balance.

What did you say?.. well now on mission for another watch hunting.......never end lah, how?

Alice - To sell your watch...

a) Advertise your watch in the FS column. Quote the watch brand / model / series / overall condition / price to sell / Interested buyer, please email for pictures (if you have problem tagging them here on the forum.

b) Send your watch to reputated used watch dealer as consignment to sell.

c) Sell directly / trade-in to used watch seller / preowned watch shop

d) Leave words around to watch kakis that you are disposing certain watches.

e) Pawn shops (not advisable)

f) Others?? (Other Sifu please elaborate)
