I started this hobby some 2 years ago. During the first year I bought 5 watches. With the existing 2 that I have, by the end of 1st year, I owned 7 watches. I then rotated my wear according to occassion and mood.
In my 2nd year, i discovered more exciting watches thro mwf and from friends. My friends then told me to restrict my collection to 7 pieces, lest it gets out of hand. I have the priviledge to speak to dsiew, our pam specialist and he concurred that a beginner must know when to say 'no'.
As I wanted a pam gmt88 and the blue sub, I sold two of my least favoured watches. Not that I did not like it but its more for monetary reason. Also I am more attracted to the new design.
I suppose some of those who 'flipped' shared common objective as me. Unless it is really collectibles, there will always be the next holy grail. My collection does not increase but the
total value surely does.
I think I will continue rotating my watches except for those truly collectibles. But I dont think I can afford it for now.
