I spoke to the GM earlier and immediately he told me that HG should be responsible as they were the one who took the watch. He told me to give him some time to sort things out. He called me a few days later and agreed to have the watched replaced.
I picked up the replacement watch today. It was a later R series. The GM clearly demonstrates his professionalism and what good customer service should be and I thank him for that.
I was surprised by some really negative comments from some forum members when what I did was merely exercising my right as a consumer asking for what I thought was fair. A forum member even claimed I did not have the “decent mind” for which I was really amazed
. What is so “indecent” to request for what I think is fair as a consumer
? I guess those negative comments are not relevant at all as the GM thought my request was fair and had the watch replaced.
