TISSOT T-COMPLICATION SQUELETTE is also in my wishlist. This watch seem out of stock in many shop. Those who have stock reluctant to give discount.

Superb looking watch but many review said the given leather strap feel cheap. Can you pm me the cheapest price you found so far ?

Maurice Lacroix Pontos Small Seconds, Ball Officer, Longines Heritage series

else you may try to look for Stowa or Nomos, but those are not able to find in local store

if your budget can hit higher than 5k i'd not sugg to go for tissot watch

Err..Ball is not a swiss or there is other Ball watch brand? What i know is Ball is a swiss made as it clearly stated at the watch face. I might be wrong as i am a newbie too.

Many swiss watch companies are now owned by ppl other than swiss themselves.

Ball Watch originated from Ohio, US. The HQ has relocated to Swiss. All their watches are Swiss made.

Ball watches are nice to wear but you will take a huge hit when reselling as ball watches have almost no resale value.

Better to buy into a mid range marquee brand like Longines or Doxa for RM8k and below.

Doxa divers are very nice and collectible.

Longines Legend Diver and Heritage Diver are also very collectible.

Another option is the Hamilton Pan Europ which is around RM3k+ and it is extremely collectible.

It's better to go for iconic watches than the flash in a pan type of watches. So, in the event that you need to sell 10 years down the road, you won't have much problem selling it as it is a classic.

Thank guys for the reply,
the reason I say ball is not swis is because, their pride themselve as a US company with a US history (even their website show it), hence i consider them US company.

Maybe i really should just abandon Manual winding and go Longines,
BTW a good pre-owned moonwatch, how much should i prepare for it, 10k?

It all depends on the condition of the watch, and whether if it comes with full box and papers. There are many different variations of the moon watch. The latest iterations are the 3573 and 3570, the 3573 is the sapphire version with a see through caseback while the 3570 is the purist version with the hesalite glass and solid caseback.

Older versions are equipped with the 861 and 863 movements while even older versions (per-moon, without the professional prefix) are using caliber 321 which are column wheel based chronograph movements.

The newer 1861, 1863, 861, 863 movements are using a cam based chronograph.

Most desirable is the caliber 321 but those wil set you back USD$10k plus for an all original version.

The Speedmaster 3572 is also very collectible and it features a hesalite glass front and a sapphire see thorough caseback. It is running on the non-rhodium plated but highly decorated 863 movement without the plastic delrin brake.

RM10k should be enough if you shop around carefully enough and be a bit more patient. But as always, buy the seller and not the watch. Our forums here have a lot of very reputable sellers. I strongly suggest that you buy from one of the official sellers here on MWF.
