First arrivals in a whle
« on: February 12, 2015, 10:30:37 AM »
The Sumo is an absolute beauty.  I wasn't lucky enough to get in at the early price but, even at the crazy price I paid I feel this is decent value.  It just looks so rich and classy.

The M-Force is an older release now.  Not something I'd normally pick up, a monster at 46 mm, but it was an awesome deal on a display model, too good to resist.  I appreciate that the power reserve is placed symmetrically on the dial, and the bracelet puts the Sumo to shame.  Sapphire, too, for those for whom this is a deal breaker.

Just some Q&Ds for now:

Thanks Femann! I must say I'm really pleased with these. Two high quality auto dive watches for the price of a few Rolex bracelet links makes Rolex dive watches look pretty stupid!

Out of curiosity, is the bezel made out sapphire crystal? The reflection is like glass.

Out of curiosity, is the bezel made out sapphire crystal? The reflection is like glass.

This is some facts but I don't think the bezel is made from sapphire glass just a gloss finish. This may not be scratch resistant.

From Seiko site:-

"As a special specification limited model only, using a sapphire glass to glass that covers the dial, we have to improve the durability. It also is a testament of the limited edition "LIMITED EDITION" and the serial number is marked on the back cover.
? orientation of the back cover, the fact and may be different.

Case Band Material    Limited quantity
SBDC027
Stainless steel

? Case Size    :    [Outer diameter] 45.0mm [thickness] 13.0mm (not including the button protrusions)
? glass material    :    Sapphire glass (anti-reflective coating inside)
? back cover material    :    Stainless steel
? waterproof performance    :    200m water resistant for air diving
? after-sales service    :    Manufacturer Warranty 1 year warranty

[Movement Specifications]
Mechanical movement Caliber 6R15
? hoisting system    :    Self-winding (with manual winding)
? time accuracy    :    Average daily rate +25 seconds to -15 seconds
? screw back
? rotating bezel
? screw lock type crown
? double lock with one push, in divers extender system distillate
? second hand stop function
? Number of stone    :    23 stone

Enkidu: Thanks for the compliment. But there is a deficiency in the dial, the minute marker as it is not align and it is well known now at the 12 o'clock.

Even when I purchased this from Chino the ad disclaim this fact. A let down for the lower range Seiko  :Blue:

The dial is better looking than the original Sumo as it does not make it look so huge with the stick hour marker as compared to round marker which could made it looks rounder and fatter.

Meorami, my understanding is that the bezel had the same enamel finish as the MM300, but I am curly waiting on Seiko to confirm this for me.

Yoda, everything aligns perfectly on mine. Maybe Seiko is more careful with the L.E.

Chris, no pics but it is the same piece of junk you get on the Sumo , Monster, etc.
