Use of Receipt

Hi all, I want to ask whats the main use of the receipt when you purchase a watch?

Because from what I know normally if AD give additional discount, they will not issue a receipt. If there's any problems with the watch, you can always refer to the warranty card.

As such, is it really important for us to insist or to get the receipt?

For high value watches such as Rolex or Omega etc etc, the receipt proves that you are the rightful owner in the case of a lost watch found again, and when you sell the watch it lends credibility to you and the watch, where the buyer is confident that the watch is not a stolen goods.

If you planning to insure your watch for home burglary you will need the receipt. As this will be the documentation the insurance company will use to verify your coverage and when during claim.

NO receipt no claim !

AD do issue receipts even they give above their controlled discounts .... receipt will show the official price while your payment or credit card payment slip is the discounted price.
