Home Cooking -
« on: December 03, 2013, 12:38:51 PM »
We Malaysians are blessed with a such a wonderful gastronomically based culture where great food is so easily accessible and still (relatively) cheap within easy reach.

How about some home-cooked food once in a while? My parents doesn't have to try hard to persuade me to go back to my hometown with what they put on the table. Simple and humble home cooked food, minus the MSG and preservatives, this is the essence in which my bones and flesh are made off, and ingrained deeply into my taste buds.

My dad's specialty is his Yong Tau Fu...

I can almost literally finish that entire pot myself....

Let's see your home-cooking!!

It comes together with our household 'jiu-pai' chili sauce, specially made with fresh chili and salty beans... a piece of heaven, I tell you!

Had quite enough of outside food, so wanted to experiment with our own style of Korean cooking...

First off, BBQ! We did our own marinated beef and chicken...

followed by Steamboat...

Come on people, show me your home cooking!  :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana:

If you guys ever been to the US Disney theme parks, you must have tried their jumbo turkey legs. My wife found the recipe and whip up a batch...

Coupled it with roasted potatoes, vegetables and drenched in turkey juice....Yumm
