Which Rolex Submariner to get?
« on: July 03, 2014, 10:03:34 PM »
Hi all, newbie here... Ben buying a few pieces here and there and now I've decided to get my holy grail "Submariner". However I'm  unable decide which model to get.

Basically I'm looking for a pre-owned (starting small) within the range of RM12k if possible. Hopefully all the sifu's here are able to provide your 2 cents.

P.S - Moderator, if there's an existing topic, pls close this and direct me to the right path.

Thanks all in advance

If you want a Submariner, you can choose this, reference 14060. If you like the date complication, then you might be able to get one of the older series Submariner Date, reference 16610. You will need to do your homework if you want them at your budget.

If you want a Submariner, try to have a budget of 20k. That would give you much better options in the used market.

Hello seniors, If I want Sub ref 114060 brand new from AD, what sort of money do I need to save up? The other alternative for me is Explorer 1 ref 2142670, what is the damage for brand new from AD. Thank you, newbie

You can get most of your answers in the Merchants Sales Corner. Do a bit of homework on the net, read up about the watches you have short-listed - you will enjoy your catch more!

U can consider 14060 or increase your budget for 16610.. Both are classic robust and iconic

at 12k you should be able to get a decent 14060 . The 14060 is a real robust and can be worn daily n even diving provided its well kept. Excellent reliability which not many can match . Put on a nato strap and you are good to go even to war.. lol..!  size is good too. Like others mentioned , a few grants more can set you back 16610, so its entirely up to you ..! with date or no date.. sub. is a good watch/tool .  =)  happy hunting !
