Review:
I have had this watch for about 2 weeks now, and I'm generally quite happy with it. Its my third Seiko and im happy with it.
Bought it at a closing down sale for half the RRP.

Dial:
Its the iconic Seiko orange dial, looks exactly like the Orange Monster, but at a cheaper price. Very well made, the lume pads are also legendary seiko lume which shines brightly at night or in the dark. Hands are large diver hands with lume, providing easy readability.
There is also a window at 3 o'clock position for the day and date.
Case:
Vey solid case, very well made. The style is abit chunky for some but it fits my taste. Large crown guards at 3 o'clock position for the crown. (Yes, Seiko moved the crown to the 3 o'clock position). Bezel is a 120 click unidirectional bezel, operation is looser than on the professional diver series. The bezel is sloped inwards as usual to protect the crystal. Case back is screw down, with display crystal. (Can see the movement inside)
Crown:
Push in crown. Second hand hacking when adjusting time. Manual winding availble.
Movement:
4R36. Automatic and manual winding. 24 Jewels. Second hand hacking. less noisy rotor compared to 7S26. better accuracy. This movement is touted as the replacement for the 7S26.
Bracelet:
Stainless steel monster style bracelet. However it is of a welded hollow solid link type. the center of these links are hollow but the sides are welded to make it look solid. This according to some sources reduces weight. Personall i prefer real solid bracelet as it feels more secure. Clasp is a deployant with safety catch, Seiko signed.
Crystal:
Flat, both front and back. Made from Hardlex. Its thinner than those found on the Orange Monster and other professional divers.
Overall:
This is a good watch, gives the best bang for your buck. Good sub for the real Orange Monster for ppl with limited budget like me.

Wears heavy on the wrist but not as heavy as the real divers. Nice orange dial, generally a good buy.
So if you are looking for a decent Monster, this one will not burn a hole in your wallet even at RRP.
