Title: MKII
Post by: David_cheong on April 01, 2010, 02:17:19 PM
I was looking at this brand and model  - stingray and vantage came to my mind (sight). Any one had any experience with them.

They build these as tool watch. The price is attractive too.

MKII watches are excellent. Bill Yao really takes the trouble when designing and producing them. I've had 2 in the past and I really couldn't fault them in anyway.

The MKII Blackwater was designed with the Benrus Type I in mind. Clear and legible dial in an asymmetric case. Bead blasted. Sapphire crystal. Truly excellent. I regret selling mine:

Also had the Stingray which pays hommage to the Blancpain Fifty Fathom. What a wonderful watch. Really chunky with great wrist presence. I sold it at a point when I had too many dive watches in the collection. And how I've regretted ever since!

All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Bill's watches. There are a few more on the pipeline but prices have gone up as well. I suppose that's the only downside to it.

AndyC - These models are selling at a site in Singapore. Range around RM2k.

With your brief write-up. its quite tempting to own one of these models as a tool watch.
Brand name aside, I think these are cool watches compared to Sinn 656.

I am attracted to the vantage series - with its vintage look to Rolex Exp 1 (older version).
What you guys (or gals) think?
