I'm doing a short series of postings on Baselworld 2013. Just got back last night and it was an Omega sponsored trip for me. Super hectic and tiring. Well here's part 1 - hope to get more postings up soon.

:o What did you do to have the sponsorship? who do I have to kill?  ;D

Back to topic, truly enjoy the stillness you projected in the photos. Great technique of combining color & mono, and great arrangement of composition. There is somehow a bit Jonas Bendiksen. I'd bookmarked your blog.

Arrgg...Can't wait for your part two...The tension is killin' me...

The Seiko Credor Minute Repeater is making me drooling big time...  ;D
Do they happen to have Sonnerie on display as well?

And the Tutima is handsome indeed.

to me, baselworld is a showcase. seiko can come out with press releases and homages to please their fans but their booth was too quiet and too sterile to reflect their anniversary. i can understand if this is a booth in wako back in tokyo... but this is baselworld in  switzerland and europe. seiko needs to do more than just dump their watches into glass displays and show pieces of cases and springs and a block of quartz. everyone else was doing just that AND more.

if u just step into the citizen booth and see the smiling faces and compare it with the dreary quiet feel of seiko's booth (where it was mostly empty most of the time), then u can see what i mean. even seiko's facebook page feels more festive.

I see. It's their grandstand that is disappointing. I thought you were mentioning their pieces.

Actually, the school belongs to the Swatch Group, and they set up branches all over the world. They also happen to have a branch in Malaysia.

So, Malaysia Boleh*.
