Title: Question: why is the crown reverse after a full handwind?
Post by: Yoda on April 24, 2013, 03:31:48 PM
Dear all sifus and members

I handwind my brand new Omega Speedmaster with 1861 movement to the full capacity, after each complete full handwind the crown is noticed to reverse a little.

My question: Is this normal for a new handwinding watch? I don't experience this in the self winding watch.

Your feedback is appreciated.

My manual winding Pam behaves the same. I believe nothing much too worry about if it just bounced a little

I always worry if I "overwind" it. Can it "break"? I usually stop once I feel it starts getting tighter.

Any guidance from the sifus pls? Maybe quite basic but I don't mind asking in the name of learning.. thanks in advance!
