To all members esp forum sifus...
Was thinking of getting a new watch n had a look at this brand Doxa. Interested in the sub 200 model which is a rolex sub style.I know it is quite an established brand in US/europe but it is not really well known here. In the west it is a diving based brand and its identity is the bright orange dial(supposed 2 b most visible color whn underwater).
positive points- reasonable pricing for swiss made ( eta 2824 ) calibre, good build quality and bright orange dial with black bezel!! And diamond markers as bling bling!!
Negative- niche brand in europe/not well known here. In Msia it is not sold at the more common ADs..
It also seems that Doxa models available in Asia are not marketed in Europe n vice versa. Company also have 2 seperate websites for the diff regions.Wonder why is that?
Any sifus familiar with Doxa?

Just know they have some legendary divers in orange dial, but too bad, not my cup of tea. :HammerHead:
The Asian ambassador now is HK artise, Fang Chung Xing.

Go for it la bro. Doxa watches are great.
Like this watch. Exact replica of the famous vintage doxa sub 300T.
Made from high quality steel. The print on the dial is very sharp.
The orange face is striking and the lume is bright.
;D

And the watch looks different from those sold in Europe. R those marketed in Asia are made in China / Asia?

They mainly make divers' watches. That's all I know of them. The orange dial may be best in terms of visibility while diving but it is not my cup of tea. If I were to get a diver's watch, it would be Blancpain Fifty Fathoms ;D

ex001.
 nice watch. U got it here or overseas? I only saw sub 200 at the AD. As I said, I think Doxa has different versions of its watches in us/europe and asia. It also has a different website for each region. Don't understand why as essentially its the same company. (mods-is it ok 2 post the website addresses?)
sshark,

the watch dial carries the "swiss made" markings and movement is ETA 2824,so I presume its swiss made.

kltime,
i got this through doxa sub official website. Doxa Sub online store.
Cannot get this model here. this one also use ETA 2824 movement.
This watch was sent from Bienne, Swiss, so i guess it is swiss made.
Not sure about other doxas.
Peanut,
BP FF is in another league now boss. Doxa used to be more expansive than BP
But now this doxa is cheap cheap watch only ;D

If I m not mistaken, swiss made means minimum 51% (or something like that )of the watch components are swiss made and watch also assembled/finished in switzerland. Swiss made watches carry the marking at bottom part of the dial between 5-6-7 markers. The locally available doxas pun apparently swiss made also...
