Title: My longest wait.... another german.... my 1st lume dial watch !
Post by: chrisyen on March 22, 2010, 11:12:17 PM
i put an order for this watch more than yrs ago. i never receive any reply after they confirmed my order. poor customer service huh? yes, indeed! the watch company simply hv no officer to handle incoming mail. they let internet seller to help them sell their watches, while they themselve
concentrate to R&D and make make their own watces. i heard before last yr, they hv only 1 worker to help the company operate all the high
tech cnc n other machine and the brand owner is not a trained watchmaker will assemble and test all tthe watches. so production is slow,
so no complaint / i just cant complaint
well, u guys may know the brand i'm talking about... yes... its DAMASKO !

while waiting i'm losing my patient, i bought a pre owned damasko dc66, i'm really impressed with the quality of the watch.
after a yr of wearing the dc66, i received a mail confirming my order for dc67 is about to ready.
then i put my dc66 online for sale immediately, its gone at no loss after wearing for a yr....

i was told i'll get my dc67 before xmas 2009.... then i never receive it during xmas... till last week i was told my watch is ready.... :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana:

after i paid wire TT... i hv receive no reply.... how come? i'm worry whether they receive my $, whether they ship....

suddenly today my wife called and told i got a parcel from Barbing, germany.... YES, it must b damasko... they ship quietly...

the fedex parcel is well packed

and they recently open for accept order for dc66si and dc67si... with additional euro800
it is a dc 66 n 67 with upgraded parts.... new ceramic lubricant free auto winding rotor, SIlicon hair spring, screw balance,
better barrel spring as well...

the price and the red wording added on dial and the euro800 different make me stick to my old dc67....

a wrist shot... My another low profile daily beater! I notice some different from the previous dc66 made way back in 2006.

1. The wider bezel inlay make the watch look bigger
2. The caseback engraving not as deep as now even though it's still very deep compare with others!
3. The strap buckle engrave is deeper but I was not sure is ice hardened

it's not a watch for every1, due to it's simple design n price
for eta 7750 movement watch, it is cheaper than iwc... But without a strong brand, it price higher than sinn 103... N close to 757...

Wow finally you got it!
Congrats man!

Looks really good...looks like need to go yam cha with you soon to check it out in the flesh.
I love what these brands are doing, focusing on technology and no fancy fancy decoration.

The coatings you mention is actually good for everyday use and abuse.

i bought direct from damasko.... price lower, but higher shipping cost... total still bit lower.... but only accept telegraphic transfer...

yeah, the da36 yellow second is 'electrifying'.... i seen one available in KL, because of the hardened case, it is like new.... n the second hand is stunningly shine! regret never grab it....

Great watch! I've got a DC57. A bit smaller and without the rotating bezel. I read in an earlier reply that you hit yours against somebody elses watch. I pity his/her watch. It's probably wrecked ;D. I do have a small mark on mine though, hit it on the edge of a concrete wall. Bit of the wall chipped off! left a tiny graze on the bezel. These Damasko's are built like tanks! Congrats again.
