Title: Grail accquired
Post by: takashi78 on March 01, 2010, 07:14:19 AM
Well, not as good in taking pics as the rest of you cause i just use my hp to take pics but yesterday was the day i finally picked up my grail. ;D

Its been more than 10yrs since i feel in love with the Explorer, love it for its simplicity and actually looks kinda "stealth" for those not in the know.

The example i have is a A-series which puts it around 1999?
According to the shop this version with just "Swiss" printed at the bottom had a short production run of just 1yr.
Originally wanted to go for the T-dial ver but was sold before i can ask the shop to hold it for me. But i guess this will do :)

Watch and movt is in excellent condition!

Had to sell my Speedy Pro to buy this but money well spent for something i wanted for sooo long.
Dont think a review is necessary as there are tons.

I now have a watch to go to the depths of the sea (SD) and one which can go up to the highest mountain (Exp) ;D.
One day i will acquire another Speedy Pro to go to the moon (since now Virgin Galactic is in business) :D.But will probably get the dispplay back ver.
Until then i am a happy man.

Now on to the crappy quality pics

Just enough links to fit my wrist

The clasp part is 1/4 smaller than of my SD

I will be peeking at this all day! ;D, who says 36mm is small nowdays :Laughing_on_floor:

Congratulations! Beautiful piece. And your pics are fine  :)

Size is not an issue. I have recently learnt this. Now I am in a phase for small watches.

haha after getting your Seiko military eh....i feel no matter the size, you like it and everytime brings a smile to your face when you wear it thats the most important.

Now i'm already thinking of putting a strap to the Exp to make it more "pedestrian" haha.

DC,

You should post the pic of your bro Exp, now thats a beauty!
Remember to ask me tag along when you go pick it up after service.
