Think it is a good brand but not very popular in this part of the globe. Am also looking at a vintage piece... should be incoming week after CNY.

I have one and I like it.  Quality of GP watches is top notch. Finishing may not be on par with PP, AP or VC but is good.  GP is 1 of the top 10 brands but not that popular here. That's why it's  "value buy" here but you must like it before you part you money.

Someone told me you need to own a GP in order to appreciate GP.  I believe you will once you own one.

That should always be the case for every watch you buy.

The 60's & 70s watches sometimes looks much better than the current ones….
this is beautiful…the current designers could learn a thing or two...

Agreed. The main issue to me about vintage watches is that it can be a minefield and it usually is. More so when it comes to popular vintage watches and military linked and issued ones, what with fakes and frankenwatches.

Is it easy to make a replica vintage watch? Thot it would be tougher to create the vintage feel / look.

Not as difficult as you think, more so when it comes to popular vintage watches. Frankenwatches even easier.
