Classic piece - nice
btw, what type of camera did you use to get the micro shots?
-
Thanks :-)
The pictures was taken with Nikon D700 and 50mm f/1.8 with Kenko Extention tube either 12mm or 24mm. Oh ya, and flash lights.
Cheers.

Dear Patrick
I have always wonder does the model name stated on the watch i.e. SKX 007J.
I have one similar to yours something like Pepsi I think is SKX009 but I could not find the print on the watch.
-
nice JDM model... ;)
Yoda: my SKX007J does not have the model reference printed on the watch as well...

wristsolution
So how to differentiate between one with J and one without J?

SKX007J got 21 jewels on dial (made in Japan)
SKX007K got no 21 jewels (made in Malaysia)

v nice divers...
the only pity is that the 7S doesn't hack...
-
I envy you! I just received my 007 from ebay seller and upon scrutinizing it, I found that the chapter ring is misaligned! I was furious and disappointed... I am now in the midst of returning the watch for an exchange.
Jeez... I thought it could be my personal bday present to myself but it turned out to be a poor quality watch.
I agree with JOS... if only the movement is able to hack and hand wind.
enjoy your watch!

Apart from what jacky8888 stated up there, there are wordings of "MADE IN JAPAN" printed in between the 6 and 7 hour markers. Local units have only 7S26 printed on there. Other differences included Arabic language on day window for JDM models and Roman numerals for local made unit. Of course you'll still have the usual MON, TUE, WED etc. as optional.

Sorry to hear that shuriken. Request for an exchange and hope you'll get a better unit this time. Don't lost hope on these Seiko workhorses.

Actually i don't find much difference between the J model and the K model as both are identical except for the dial printed with "Made in Japan" for the J model. The movements are still the same 7S26 movements.
On the other hand .... are they really made in Japan? I was told nowadays they are not neccesarily made there. Not sure anyone can confirm this.

I suppose the J / K indication is genuine.
The prices would have tell.
I have experienced it with seller from both Malaysia & Singapore. Prices of J spec is slightly higher
K - Made in Malaysia / Thailand...
