hi guys i am new to here, (not really new, just dive for long time, haha). i just bought my gal a seiko not long ago. The glass has a deep scratch on the surface and she couldnt recall how did it happen. My question is, is it possible to replace it with sapphire crystal? thanks for your comments

Yes it is possible. The problem is to find the right size sapphire crystal and someone to replace it. Don't think Seiko will do it.

hi arsene,
yes its possible to replace the crystal. my friend dropped his hamilton watch and entire front crystal cracked. send back to swatch group service center. the problem with theae crystala are that they are quite hard to find here. in my friend case they have to cut rhe crystal to size again from overseas takes about 3 months. but costis quite fair about rm300.
this is for hamilton.
for seiko u can try to go back to the shop u bought it from and ask them to send for reapair to replace the crystal.
alternatively, if its just a scratch u dont have to replace the whole thing, send to a independent watch repair shop and if they have the right tools thy can glass polish to remove the scratch
hope this helps

plenty of crystal around if you are willing to order it from overseas, make sure your size is correct.
i diy ed a few, you need crystal press and correct gasket to seal it properly.
also need a pressure tester to test the WR, i don't have this.
for a start get a caliper and measure correct size. then go
