Quick check guys,
How much is the MRSP of Explorer II now and % of dicount?
-
Around 17k++ i think... rolex AD only give 10% max.
but pre own exp2 cheaper than sub
-
one of the few Rolex-es that i think is better bought pre-owned than new if you do not mind.
the resale value is taking such a beating that it's kinda attractive especially the white face.
-
That's what am thinking.
How much do you think is the reasonable price for a 2001 A series with black dial?
-
Retail price now is RM18575 if not mistaken in AD. Submariner black bezel is also about the same price too :)
Not sure about the last cash price purchase as the sales girl didnt think i will buy on the spot tht time . lol

eg, i just save 17k....another 1.8k to go...when i save 1.8k next year, rolex adjust some more to 20k....then i'm still stuck by 1k+.... :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor:

Hi Berg,
That's one cool looking Expy II. I've always felt that the white face version is more dressy and your wrist shot has just affirmed that.
-
;) and it's nicely slip under my sleeve.
-
White dial is always my fav
-
My Explorer II lume shot.
Year 2010 pice after discount is RM18k.
-
Its size is just right for my 6.5" wrist. Its height is really nice and not that tall. I am now know why the cyclops is useful, I start having presbyopia and making me reading small wording kinda difficult. The bracelet is thin and it's links are not shaking when your hands are moving.
-
I'm one of the few that actually prefers the white face over the black
-
I really liked my Rolex 16570 Explorer II ! The size are fit to my wrist !
-
Have always liked the Explorer this should be around 18K worth.
-
Yep, my colleague just got one for about that price.
-
Yesterday just drop by Rolex ask after discount current price is around 27k ...

I flipped an Eii earlier the year. I believed that Eii's are easy flips as they carry the brand name, comes as a lower entry price than Subs, yet carry a GMT or daylight complication. Earlier on, I thought that the Eii at the newer 42mm size was decidedly more modern, but I have grown to appreciate the classic size before the increase. But the bracelets seemed to be more solid with the modern ones.

I agree with you with regards to the newer bracelets. While I love the size and case of the 5 digit references, I simply can't get past the "lighter" feeling bracelets and clasps. I know that they are time proven and are as solidly built as they come. I just love the clasps of the newer 6 digit references, and the convenience of having an easy link to immediately adjust your bracelet on the fly if you travel to a much colder country. That's just me though...

Me too, prefer the white for Explorer II.
-
I bought the Black Eii as my other Rollie sport watch was sporting a Green dial. Actually I flipped a Black LN for the Green LV, so you could say that with the Black Eii, I was going back to black. Anyway, thereafter flipped the Eii and moved onto the SDC Black. If I get another Eii in future, I would try the Polar Express.
-
EII black is very sweet too
-
Agreed with You & I really like my Explorer II !
