Really sorry to hear that. I don't own a PAM but it's rather obvious something is not right. One probable cause is the mechanism is magnetised (maybe you brought your watch too close to your iPhone and laptop yesterday??).
Hate to rub salt on your wound, but honestly, people should just stick to a Rolex (a true and serious watchmaker).

The PAMs are all like pizzas to me. All look almost alike, but like pizza lovers, the PAM lovers all claim they are different. All are identified by numbers, just like pizzas on a menu because either (1) the name in Italian is too much a mouthful (pardon the pun) or (2) the Italians (true to the Mediterranean custom) just could not be bothered to give each a name.
OK, no more Pam bashing today. Can some pizza (oop......sorry....should PAM) lover please render some real and helpful advice to Felix??

To me is all same same but the fans will say but different.

How old is your 380? Try different positions ,If it still run 5 min fast sent it to a Sc, maybe regulating might correct it if its not over 5 min.. just my opinion tony

i thought rolex look similar too...bit here and there...also the AP....heheheheh....

This issue can be easily regulated. Look for your nearest AD for help or you can send it straight to Richemont at KL.
Please, even some ROLEX have this issue of running too fast or too slow. Its just a matter of regulating it. Its really NOT a big deal.
Enjoy your time piece!

Yea, sure Kancils also look like Ferraris.......

Magnatised issue is normal. Just ask richemont to demegnatised it. If still not ok, then maybe some mechanical issue....

Felix,
As others have responded, it could be a simple fix as demag the movement or something more serious. Anyway, if the watch is still under warranty, perhaps you may want to consider bringing it to the service Center to have it checked out.
Enkidu,
An interesting topic you brought up with regards to Rolex being a true and serious watchmaker. Perhaps you would grace us with a thread to discuss this, least we cloud this with unnecessary banter that does not help the original post.
On a different note:
Perhaps Panerai lovers could also help educate us more on the brand, model numbering, i.e. the 3 digit running system as oppose to the 4, 5, 6, or 7 digit numbering system adopted by Rolex or even longer numbering system by the likes of Omega or Longines (amongst other). Also perhaps the differences in the basic model like the base, Luminor, Luminor Marina, Radiomir, Mare Nostrum, etc.
Thank you.

Hi, Hobbitt,
You don't agree Rolex is a serious and true watchmaker as opposed to, say, a fashion house? I thought the more appropriate topic for discussion should be whether panerai is a watchmaking company or a fashion house / brand.

Hi Enkidu,
While I do agree that Rolex is a serious and true watchmaker, to a certain level, (limited by my lack of knowledge), but there may be others that may not. It would be great to see, read and understand all view and opinions, don't you agree. Additionally, the thread may also include (or perhaps another thread) a discussion on Panerai and if it is a fashion brand, or otherwise. This I think will add value to the knowledge base of the forum, it's members and followers. Of course we must agree to set some playing ground rules, least we end up name calling much like kids in a playground during recess.
Thank you.

Hi, Hobbitt,
There is no need to be so modest on your part. Since both of us already feel that Rolex is a true and serious watchmaker to whatever degree or extent, then there is no need for us to start a thread discussing the same. Of course, there may be others that may not agree with us and it will be for these people to start the thread. That is only logical.
But since I do hold the opinion that Panerai is just a fashion house and not a watchmaker , or even maybe just a leather fashion house (considering how obsessed Panerai lovers are with their leather straps), I shal be more than pleased to start the thread.
Don't worry about name callings and agreeing on playing ground rules. Surely you have been a member of MWF long enough to know what Rule 1 says?
best regards,
Enkidu

Hi Enkidu,
Since you will start a thread on Panerai, I will start one on Rolex. I am sure the sharing of the collective knowledge on these threads will be great.
Thank you.

These type of threads will be cool. I am relatively new when it comes to Rolex...managed to acquire my first this year....It goes without saying that Rolex owners are practically proud of their pieces...
In comparison, I do not own a Pam but am really keen to own one. I have read many positives and negative comments about Panerai (the brand, the pricing, the many same-same but different models) but the looks and history of the watch is just too seductive to keep me away (sadly...). One interesting thing trend I noticed is a good number of Rolex owners will eventually have a Pam in their collection. And ended up praising both brands.

Right bros, i do think that it is timely we have a thread on Pam. I notice that mwf is one of the blog (maybe the only one) where Pam brand is so big, the recent votes elevated its status as 2nd to Rolex. Lets have some fun!
