guy please help me to choose between two of this watch
Oris williams f1 - suitable with my age, got day and date but a bit old
Rado-sctrach resistence.. long last body but no day display
price was different by RM200

Your post has already shown the answer.
I can see that you prefer Oris William F1 more than Rado...somehow...
(1) You put oris first
(2) The pros with Oris are more than the pros you mentioned with Rado
(3) You like Oris more when you said "suitable"
Buy something you like bro!
Do not buy something just for the sake of scratch resistance. Scratches are normal to watches really.
My vote: ORIS!

agree with seadweller,
since you said Oris is more suitable for you. so whats pulling you back?
old? fine watches are meant to last... if not forever, probably at least generation so that you can pass down to your children. lol... I don't see a problem with that.
go for ORIS!

Welcome to MWF fazz. Do you mean an older model or you are a bit old for that model?? If age is no barrier, go for the oris.. Enjoy

Fazz 2009 is not that old. Panerai n Rolex manufacture their own design watches, n after decades people are still buying the same design watches..Don't buy watches if you think its an investment. If you buy a new one of course you are going to lose money on the resale, get a pre owned and you will lose less.

thanks bro..now i can buy with confident

Oris gets my vote as it would be more flexible in terms of being used for formal and casual occasions

Hi fazz,
Everyone can give you opinion  but they don't pay for you :mooning:.
Lets be frank, i have been in the watch industry for 10 years :o (that was before ;D). I see a lot of customers in this delemma :Praying:. Just ask yourself where your heart goes and it can't be wrong .
What do you expect from this watch, definately you like some praises. You like something to withstand time  or maybe you like a watch like everyone is wearing one (end up years later, someone will comment this model was popular back then ).
You can listen to opinions but end of the day you are wearing it.
Just give it a thought .

thanks for your opinions.. i am just in dilemma..looking for formal and casual occasions watch.
actually a lot of watch on my list..seiko diver solar..victorinox swiss army..longines hydro..but after test on my wrist i decide between the two RADO DIASTAR and the ORIS WILLIAMS F1..
but today i test the LONGINES HYDROCONQUEST..i give me more dilemma..

Hi fazz.
For me i take the Rado Diastar instead of Oris and Longines. As i like something that has identity, where the Oris and Longines has facelift almost every year or maybe after a few years. Meanwhile the Rado Diastar remain an icon design since the launch in the 60's till now (just like Rolex and AP RO, something that withstand time).
I like retro design and the watches from the 60's and 70's, as the most creative era in the watch industry.
Like i always said, don't think too much and let your heart decide.
Just to share with you, in every stage of life we see things differently. So what you like now will not be then.

Just to share..When i tried the Rado diastar i feel some of pride (cos of well know brand)..and for me the design will last for a decade..i see my friends watch the glass and bezel though.
Back to Oris it a modern style..easy friendly watch with date, day, second and 24 hours indicator.
