Hi friends
Long story cut short..
- my budget to pay is below 6k, after mega discounts.
- General dicount rate is 25% to 30% during megasales now. Hence, the retail price should be around RM8k
- I want a black leather strape
- I want a classy looking watch, with automatic. ideally 41 size above.
- I am wearing it more for dressing, eg. balls, meetings, leisures & for "gaya". Not for adventures.
- High accurcy, i am lazy to adjust watches :Scolding:
- I always prefer brand that has better resell value, but don't ask me why ??? For example, i would opt for Honda over Hyundai, even if hyundai is better looking at same price. :HammerHead:
My personal preferece for now is BALL & Maurice Lacroix. What is your advice?
(In fact, Longines was once in the list, but i decided to take out coz of limited leather designs.)

In my opinion, Longines got better resell value than Maurice Lacroix & Ball.
& many classical choices with the Longines Master series & the price pretty match with your budget. Go check it out which one you really like.

YES, i wanted to know whether isit true or not, it could be an influence point for my jumpshipping. The salesman did say that before, but I doubted him.

What makes u say longines got better resell value than ball?
So far ball hydrocarbon n divers series resale value is higher than most watches u see
In msia shop
Not jus that, n it sell so fast in pre owned shop... Hardly more than a week

I went to BSC in the evening, i walked around at the concourse, looking at the display case, quite a lot of BALL watches were either sold or being reserved, i suspect. I couldn't decide what to buy, the one that i like most are Train master-Racer, Cannonball, Worldtime Chrono, but it way passed my budget, but my wife kept pastering me buy la buy la.. very nice :Mad:
Anyhow, i should be able to make up my mine before weekend.. coz i afraid it kena hijacked leow :thumbsup:

dont rush bro. go to most of the AD and check. I doubt they would reserve for cust. usually first come first serve basic. some more market is very bad this year.

dont rush bro. go to most of the AD and check. I doubt they would reserve for cust. usually first come first serve basic. some more market is very bad this year.

you can try consider russian watch, poljot, buren, sturmanskie, ect
they within your budget and meet your criteria, but resell value is depand,

Thanks. Just place my TISSOT into storage and started wearing my BALL. Like the feel of it more than my TISSOT; weight is less and more balanced.

I would said, base on it's long watch making history, WW demands & my earlier opinion applies accross all the models from Longines in general. I'm not refering only to 1 or 2 Ball series only, if you compare the diver watches, perhaps Ball has better resale value.

I went into 1 preown shop, the boss said normally they would pay higher trade in value/ buy-over for certain brands like BALL, Longines, Tag, Omega, Rolex, Seiko, ORIS, coz brand popularity and higher demand. But it is also depends on model+series, design, quality, number of years, discon or non-discon. Hence, the judgement can be varies from 1 watch to another, the owner said, he got 1 preown Omega, but selling lower than a Longines.. Does it mean Longines better resell value? I don't think so loh..
