Title: Looking for a new watch
Post by: dumbass on July 02, 2012, 09:29:02 PM
Hi all, i'm thinking to get a decent watch to reward myself after a few years of working...
currently i own a couple of seikos and casios and thats all...
Pricing wise best to keep within 4 digits...
Browsed around... quite like Ball Storm Chase DLC and Certina DS PODIUM GMT
Any advice from the pros here would be good eg the recommended brands, or the design or the best value-for-money among all the brands :)
Thanks in advance.

Your budget quoted 4 digits is/are too wide.
It could be rm1000-rm9999.

Btw, welcome to mwf.

Bro - my advise - walk into a good watch shop and let the watches on display call out to you. If one of them "sings" to you, you should get it.

In my humble opinion, if you are still asking the question about what to get, then you are not ready to get one. A watch should be an extension of yourself - just don't buy for the sake of buying.

lol thanks for all the advice.
just a few more noob questions, btwn the 2 models, the price gap is quite big right?
where can i check the retail price for them actually?
possible to pm me where is the cheapest place i can go try and possibly buy?

i like them both but i'm not sure if dlc is worth the money in terms of the movement, build quality and etc...
what about breitling superocean 42?
visited many watch sites and shortlisted these final 3...
unfortunately david, pricing is part of my consideration :) so i cant just go for what i like...
otherwise would immediately go get a superocean 42 haha

dumbass,
I have checked out the breitling superocean 42 (the other day) Quite a solid watch and look attractive on the wrist. Take around rm8k plus. If the watch smile at you, why not?.
