Budget : RM500
Brand : Prefer watch maker brands (eg: Seiko, Casio, Timex, etc) NO to fashion branded watch
Movement : Prefer Quartz. I am OK with Mechanical as well
Display : Analog
Case Diameter : 35mm - 40mm (I have tiny wrist)
Watch Band Material : Prefer Metal or Leather
Style : Classic or Pilot
This watch going to be a daily beater for me in office.
I am going to wear this watch with oxford shrit + chino pants (smart casual?)
Please suggest me some model. I would prefer some classic design.
I am staying in KL, I would prefer to visit local shop to see how the watch looks on my wrist before buying.
Appreciate your suggestions. Cheers.

Seiko or orient..even every one here talk abt rolex, iwc, etc but I believe their first mechanical watch is from sun arising country...

Seiko 5 military watch. Despite its humble pricing at less than rm300, its one hxll of good mechanic watch which the owner of Hour Glass personally endorsed.

Thank you, SIFUs !
I am surprise with the warm & great suggestions from you guys.
Initially, I thought I only can afford Seiko 5's and low-end quartz chrono for sub-500 watches.
Thanks to the great responses, another 2 models have added to my list:
1. Tissot Classic Dream
2. Orient (Mako)
Can I have further info / user experience of the 2 models?
Besides, I found Mako's dial is shinning and reflects under lights, while Classic Dream dial is like paint (or died) white/black colour only.
Is that because of the material being used to make the dial?
How many type of materials are widely used in normal watch making?
Mako is shinning : http://forums.watchuseek.com/attachments/f2/638264d1330404100-black-blue-orient-mako-b120206862.jpg
Classic Dream dial like sleeping :P http://media.photobucket.com/image/Tissot%20Classic%20Dream/tbarry_2008/Newtrail1.jpg

Hello folks,
Can you guys suggest me a local shop to buy Orient watch in KL?
I've check Orient shop at Tokyo Street, Pavillion and some watch shops around bukit bintang (mainly in Pavillion & Sg Wang). But non of them are selling Orient Marshall model.
Any other Orient suggestion for budget below RM500 is welcomed :)
Besides, any Orient multi-year calendar watch owner / collector here? Any comment to the watch?

Agreed 100%.
I have one Seiko military (pilot style) watch which has the same design found on Laco or Stowa brands. It is < RM300 and is one of my "beaters watch".
