finally decided i should go for 3D  (abit slow i am)
after some homework it seems the best bang for bucks out there the LG LW5700 Cinema 3D LED TVs with the passive 3D
anybody can share their current setup to maximize viewing experience ?
and any other recommended model ;D
and recommend 3D tittle
i already have the 3D zen downloaded already

Slow? I am not into 3d yet as well.
IMHO, i think 3d is best experienced in the cinemas.
As for home settings, i think a bluray 5.1 home theatre coupled with a 40" and above lcd tv with at least 100hz motion flow would be good enough.... for me that is...
I think the home 3d technology is still at it's infancy and they are still improving... buy one today and 3 months later, a better one will be on the market.
Maybe when the entry cost have dwindled down... might get one for my game room... just for kicks... lol ;D

I only use the 3D function when I want to show it off to my guest :)
Otherwise I watch in HD

im still using only HD~ ><
Doesnt really fancy 3D.. IMO Not many movies offers good 3D experience except for animations.. Really like avatar 3d tho~! ;)
Now they even got Smart TV..
How about maximizing viewing experience with a wireless home theater setup? no need for messy wire..
a lot of brands offering it.. i.e sony with its S-Air
LG also not bad..

Still with HD from LG...not even LED...
but back to 3D...i wonder, can you watch normal show with 3D tv? never tried and never actually checked it out....
and cant you watch a 3D movie with normal HD tv using the 3D glass??? just wondering...

according to reviews one of the best movie in 3d so far is prometheus. the highly anticipated, the hobbit, is another film that will set new benchmark for 3d movies. both are filmed with red epic cameras and 3d rigs. i can only believe what is reported in reviews because i cannot see 3d :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor:
following is the url link to improve 3d viewing experience:

Never been a fan of 3D in cinema, so for home no need to say la haha.
To me money better spent on better sound for the TV as modern super slum tv's suck on the sound dept.

those are fabulous BBC documentaries. i use the following planet earth's birds scene to test HD capabilities:

imho animation, sports and concerts will make any average TV look fabulous. other than the older crt tv i have 5 plasma, lcd and led tv. after extensive testing i still prefer japan-made plasma screen over lcd and led. you can make your tv performance better by investing on quality or reference-class power cables, inter-connects and digital cables. these upgrades are more noticeable when you have bigger screen.
for me, a HD TV picture must look accurate regardless if you are seated at sweet spot, near or far.

I think i be happy with my large screen normal HD TV and pay monthly to Astro for the the HD channel....ever since, i have almost stop buying DVD and even cancel my plan to get Blue Ray Player...hehehehe....owh once in while download some HD movie...that should be good
