Ball Engineer Ohio II Moonphase

I think Oris/Longines make very good watch at the sub 5k range.
Hydroconquest

Good brand, famous and nice watches. This one has all the good stuff, sapphire crystal, anti reflective coating on the interior side, 300m depth rating etc. As good as a Seamaster (other than the helium release valve and movement/brand factor).
But it's also under swatch group so should be almost the same one.

I will second Ivan's recommendation.
Yes the Longines Hydroquest is a fine choice. Longines and Omega are like Tudor and Rolex. You cant go wrong it it eaither way.
-
me too. I second Ivanpei & Henry133.
Personally I owned one hydroconquest, it was very good for me.
-
Oris made good watches too.
You cannot go wrong with Oris or Longines for RM5K budget.
-
if you ask me before i joined MWF, it would be Tag Hoyer.. but kana poison at this website.
for 5k Longines got plenty of choices.
if brand is a must the go for longines or oris.
otherwise, consider steinhart, value for money watch.

Ball watch will be my choice

How much is the market retail price for Longines Hydroquest ?
-
Should be around RM3900 now, before AD discount.

I think it's important to know which type of watch you are looking for...i.e. Divers, Pilot, Dress...etc
But if unsure, then maybe need to find out your taste - plain looking? or complicated? or even 'funky'? Chunky?
Looking at your initial post you prefer one that comes with a steel bracelet...
Personally, I like the Oris BC4 (Pilot) series...which after discount can fall around your budget range...
Ball is a good choice as well well-known for it's night lume and anti-magnetic properties...
Maurice Lacroix you may get only a basic model if getting from an AD at that range...but they make nice dress watches.

For Maurice Lacroix, I like the new Pontos S Chronographe, but it is definately more than RM5K.
