Damasko is on a roll...
Another new watch from them powered by their in-house movement with silicon hairspring, dlc escapement that does not require lubrication.
From what I know, Damasko currently has 2 in-house movements.
The A35 and the H35.
The A35 is confirmed to power the DK10-DK11 with central seconds hand.
Now I am guessing those models with the small seconds hand will be powered by H35.
Correct me if I am wrong here.

Ok, from the pics, we can tell that this is a real departure from what is norm for a Damasko watch.
I see polished smooth bezel.
Grey dial looks like a sunburst dial.
Black looks matte finished... not really sure on this.
Case looks brushed and no sign of the titanium like matte finish found on the current lineup of the famous ice-hardened look.
Dial looks really nice especially the grey sunburst one.
Indices looks like its applied.
Sword hands are looking good.
All in all, looks really appealing to me.
A fresh look on Damasko watches rather than the pilot look.
No price as of now but knowing Damasko watches with in-house movements, surely north of 10k.

This is really nice looking watch, wonder what is the case size?
-
I like...
If h35 movt, they will be manual winding...
-
Are they expanding too fast?

So A35 is automatic with central sweeping seconds hand and H35 will be manual winding with small seconds?
-
Are they expanding too fast?
If you look at the current lineup, they're mostly sharing cases and hands.
This is the only all new Damasko that they announced.
New case, new hands, new dial... all new.
So, in my opinion, I do not think they are expanding too fast.
The current line up looks almost all the same.
Just depending wether you want:
1. Indices with numerals or plain markers.
2. Lume dial or black dial.
3. With or without rotating bezel.
4. Chrono or 3 hands.
5. DLC case or not.
But this? This is all new.

They can shape it anyway they want... but looking at the crown, I will agree that they will use H35 manual winding movt..
It looks like Damasko going towards all in-house movt, phasing out ETA based due to Swatch action in cutting ETA supply.. Still the production numbers still low... with DK 10, DK 11 long waiting time (up to a year....). Grab them if they are on display...
-
this model seems to be dressy. I personally find this model appealing.
-
Nice watch with nice in house H35-1 manual wind movement.m

Look at that... I am drooling...

not aesthetic.bit bore with the 3/4 plate.... yeah... its german made but there are ways to make it more impressive....
anyway still have decent enough finishing + the high tech stuff from damasko as usual....
i believe the maintenance free watch is not far......
-
If they add power reserve indicator complication at the back, then it will be perfect.. But the cost will be 'perfect' too..
-
Altho their Silicium balance spring/escapement in-house movt have piqued my interest for last few months, the current dial design doesn't evoke any emotion at all to me..their display back looks nice though ..quite akin to the Nomos look..
Will hope for better front dial designs in future but for now.....not
-
love the dial with black glossy look...and clean as well.....
-
Not sure if they are using ice-hardened steel for these models... I guess not...
If they are lower than DK 10/11 pricing.... I would say that these models will be the most affordable german made / in-house movement / display back / WR 100m / manual winding timepieces in Malaysia.. but just need to wait longer in the Q line...
I could be wrong as some manual winding movt watches are more expensive...
-
Very "German" with the 3/4 plate but like Chris said nothing to shout at.
I would like to see more revealed, but then again, more time and cost spent to "decorate" it.
To me Damasko without their ice harden technology and what not is kinda loosing the essence of the brand.
-
The steel strength still rated at 60HRC... could it be a polished ice hardened steel applied?
-
the back is more attrqctive than the dial
-
Confirmed by Damasko that the material is ice-hardened steel... another technical wonder by the Damasko team.. They are in 42mm case
-
What I like about Damasko is they produce watches as "side income" as their source of income is metallurgy stuff for some other industry. What they learnt there they implement into wristwatch.
-
Yesterday chat with a swatch watchmaker
He don't believe there is a watch call damasko
That can produce a watch that is
Almost scratch resistant on its case, bezel, chrono pusher, crown... N nickel free
Solid bi direction diver bezel
In house movement with ceramic ball bearing rotor, dlc jewel free escapement, silicon hair spring
Viton gasket
...
Less than rm15k
So it's tell...
-
Basically what you are saying at the current price tag, it is one hell of bargain.
