I went to Hublot boutique in Starhill . I saw a model i like , google it with my iphone for the technical specs - so happened to see the internet price at the same time.
Apparently , the price they offer is cheaper than internet prices :o (Hublot in Msia - potentially cheapest in the world?)

if LCW can affort, why not him? I believed any CEO in any established company can afford Hublot & Hermes b. Not to mention about the guy who manage a country? I think we need to be reasonable la.

There is normally a huge disparity between the salary of a CEO of an established company and the PM. As we transcend into the Age of Austerity and Age of Internet Expose, the lifestyle of our elected (and appointed) representatives will inevitably come under public scrutiny. Ya lar, a PM wearing a Hublot is still permissible, don't expect him to go around like Mahatma Gandhi. Provided he raises the Malaysian economy and plugs all leakages so that all of us can buy Hublots, PPs, RMs,, JLCs, VCs like buying Casios and Albas, then who will complain????

Hmmm.......maybe Danny should send our YAB a formal invitation to join the MWF then. He cannot discuss any politics here of course, but willl be encouraged to post the pics of his watches. I will volunteer to help him post the pics (for a fee of course, nothing is free in this world, especially for people who have multiple Hublots to choose from... ;D ;D ;D. Will of course need a Service Level Agreement), respond to queries, make sure his posts are all befitting of a PM,......etc.

PM has a huge collection of watches. Hublot are worn for majority of his official functions. For functions involving the Armed Forces, he usually wears PAM (heard that the PAM was given to him one of the wings in the Armed Forces - maybe the Malaysian Navy??)

he should be invited,

Hublot trying to play big, expensive, exclusive and high tech. I am sorry to say that I just hate it. Personally, hublot is neither here nor there to me. For truly classic high end watches, i will stick with holy trilogy. For high tech brand, I will go for Richard Mille and Urweck etc. Hublot has no place in my book for sure. Seriously. :HammerHead:

Egyptian is right. He is the ex-president of Egypt - Mr. Hosni Mubarak. Now a "guest" of the people of Egypt ..... That is a picture of him at his on-going trial.

Don't underestimate Jibby's family wealth. Najib is after all of noble birth (unlike LKY, notwithstanding the double-first from Cantab as he often likes to boast, who was just the son of a watch repair man in Tanjong Pagar). I think Najib's official noble title is Orang Kaya Indera Shahbandar ke-11. Our 2nd PM Tun Razak, his dad, was the Orang Kaya Indera Shahbandar ke-10. LKY is just another crude, crass, arrogant and undiplomatic singaporean, probably descended from some peasant or koolie class now sucking up to big brother China, riding on China's high GDP growth and determined to turn Singapore into one of PRC's off-shore principalities. One runs with digital precision, lots of functions, the other exudes class but required costly periodic maintenance. I'll let you guess. :laugh: :laugh:

This is OT. No one can doubt Singapore is way ahead of Malaysia. It was ahead of Malaysia when I was a student there in the 1980's and 1990's and the gap now seems wider than before. Even when Singapore is having a bad stretch, it's still better than Malaysia. But I feel it's unfair to make a comparison. It's like comparing a bustling city like Hong Kong, Dalian or Shanghai to say a province in China like Shantung or Shaanxi. Whilst Singapore is a city state, Malaysia is a rather vast country with land area approximately 800 times larger. If it takes US$XXX to build a major water pipe in Singapore, the same pipe will probably cost more to be built in the vast hinterland of Malaysia. That same pipe serves 100,000 families in Singapore, all of whom are taxpayers. Here, that pipe will serve 100families in our interior, probably none are taxpayers. How to compare?? For us, it's always how to better manage and reduce wastage and leakages in our system. For them, it's the obverse, how to squeeze the maximum performance out of an efficient system.
But when it comes to PM watches, our PM is many light years ahead of their PM, all the way to the farthest galaxies......it seems like LHL does not even wear a watch....how can??? Salary so high still cannot afford a watch???

Losing a by-election is tough, but that does not prevent others from checking the watch you wear!! ;D
Compared to the PP nautilus, RM, FM, Rolex GMT...etc which Malaysian politicians, their wives, policemen ...etc are spotted wearing (check out another thread), this former Rear-Admiral who easily draws a multi-million sing dollar annual salary seems relatively more modest with his choice of watch.
Now, from the inward curve of the lugs, could that be an Omega Aqua Terra Chrono (Beijing Olympics Edition)? ;)
