Help from experts is very much appreciated.
Concerning Rolex Submariner Bicolor ...how many types of dials were/are actually made/released by Rolex?
1.Black
2.Blue
3.Champagne
4.Grey
...what about white mother of pearl (MOP), are they ever issued by Rolex or custom aftermarket addition?
-
Never seen any MOP before

This is what I am talking about...some sites mention that they are aftermarket/custom while others say original Rolex dial.
Johnjoux and other experts, appreciate some feedback...will make wife very happy if can get one (only if its issued by Rolex).
anyway...what does `factory' dial means...fitted by Rolex factory or otherwise?...thanks in advance.

Hi, I am not an expert. But in all my years on this hobby, I believe this MOP with diamonds is an aftermarket dial.
In other words, my 2 cents tells me this is not a factory fitted dial. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Seen many MOP dials on the precious metal Daytona.
-
some bi-color (two-tone, half-gold) Submariners do come with a diamond dial also called serti in some forums but the dial above doesn't look like it. likely not original. afaik, no Submariners came with MOP dials although Daytonas do.
-
Thanks a lot for clearing my doubts ...no need to post question on the Rolex forum...good news is one less bi-color dial to strive for...now gotta work hard for the grey and black dials.
-
this picture doesnt look like mother of pearl to me though.

To my best knowledge, submariner only come with two dial black dial and green dial only. No MOP or diamond dial. Pls correct me if I am wrong

SS Sub, black dial/bezel only. 50th anniversary came with green bezel. newer ceramic SS Sub, green and black dials/bezels.
bi-colour and solid gold Sub have more dial options. black or blue and combination of diamonds or other stones.
