The Longines Legend Diver
(http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w501/TdBean/DSC00017.jpg)
This watch is value for money by my book (if you get it with discount)
Super compressor case plus the dial is a faithful reproduction of the original Longines Diver from the 60s
(http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w501/TdBean/1555350.jpg)
Don't know who to credit for the photo above.
Usually when a company do a re edition they can't help but to fiddle with the original design and the result is awful. Which kind defeat the purpose of a reedition if you think about it.
The best thing about this reedition is that the watch actually can be worn for diving! I'm not sure about 100m but 30m~45m shouldn't be a problem. I have seen it. Now where to find a watch like that to be had under 5k. Amazing :Dancing_banana:

Very nice RD. Great to see people wearing such watches as a tool watch. Reminds me of a friend who uses his rose gold AP RO on a daily basis. No big deal right? Well he is an engineer and likes to get his hands (and AP) dirty. The number of nicks and dents........

Derek,
Congrats on the Helson. Green dial? Perhaps a review? Do wear it with good health and wealth.

Not mine, but manage to try it on when I was in Denmark. My dive watches are the run of the mill usual models and brands. So nothing special.
Here's a cool one. Would have bought it if it have an independent hour hand.

So far bezel has got to a nice color, but case hasn't.
i bought the one with black dial. the brown and green ones are nice too.
Let me digest it for a week or two, and i'll write up a review.

i've seen some of those straps, but none will fit the monster springbar.
did you have to modify yours? or you used just a generic springbar for it?

maybe it's your camera or the lighting.

It's not the lighting. This particular model comes with what is called a sunburst blue dial. It is something not commonly seen, especially for a watch at this price point.

Dimension wise it appears small but in practical terms, a nice balance. I got a 7.5" wrist that helps balance the watch. A smaller wrist could pose a problem. I'm not sure though.

Something from 1988. Have not worn these for the longest time.
Casio shrouded diver with Ti ion coating. Got the white one first in The Mall (is it still there?) and took me the longest time to search and get the black version (21 years). They did not do well new as they were priced pretty steep back in 1988 going for USD 170. Apparently these watches are doing well in the pre-loved and auction markets. In a recent auction, the black version went for USD 570 and the white went for USD 240.

@Master Hobbit... why are the Casio watches you posted so sought after in the pre-owned market?
Not really sure why but it is a sleeper of a watch. Perhaps it is the size of the watch (44 mm) or perhaps it is that fact that it is slim (12.5mm) or perhaps that it is a cheaper alternative to the Seiko Tuna? Who knows. I like them because they look good and I like the lug less design of the case.
