Title: Bell & Ross BR03-92
Post by: firdausasri on April 26, 2012, 07:38:52 AM
Hi Guys,

I'm practically a Bel l& Ross fan since way back, just don't have the dough to afford one. I've been practically drooling over BR01-92 but 46mm size is only going to get me awkward on my wrist so 42mm and below is more feasible options. Was hoping to set aside some budget for one after the bonus lol

May I know what's the retail price for BR03-92 Phantom or BR03-92 Steel here? Does it comes makes sense to buy it online or abroad? Thanks.

I bought my BR in Paris , much cheaper there compared to local AD (maybe because local brand) and they give discount without even asking. Only ceramic models no discount.

Yes..

I agree Paris is cheaper.

I sought a ceramic. Even without discount (but with tax rebate) its cheaper than price here after discount from local AD.

Actually BR's 46mm doesnt really look gigantic, partly due tot he shape and also due to the fabric straps. have a try and compare with the -93s. I am sure you will prefer the 92s.

Good luck

Hi EJ/Henry,

Sorry for late reply. I guess I've to search around then but going over to Paris might not be possible as it's not within my business trip routes. Yes I really like the 92s, probably going to start recon here and singapore first....Thanks

I was at Paris Airport recently, yes slightly cheaper for B&R but not much...certainly not worth going there just to buy B&R...heheheh

I have a BR01-92 phantom from local AD and it looks great.

doesn't look or feel 46mm at all.

Hi,

Anyone saw the BR03-92 Commando? I went to Pavilion but they havent come in yet. Currently dont know which one to decide either the infamous Phantom or this new color Commando.

I try to find side by side pic between Commando & Phantom but fail. If anyone have; kindly post here. Thanks.

I gave up on my BR03 because it did not have a screw down crown. And yes, I have a thing for screw down crown.....  ;D ::) :P

Why not go for a used Br92 phantom? Loads of it on the market with good prices but beware of the imitation ones though.

Hi Guys,

It's been almost 2 years and I've finally bitten a bullet for B&R but not for BR01 or BR03 though. I've fallen for BR123 Sport Heritage. The artificial patina effect on the dials have made me and maybe some of you convinced that it looks vintage and cool at the same time. I could use it for formal functions (with brown leather straps) and also join the camaraderie for sortie exercise with NATO straps. But the ETA movement is still not accurate enough for my liking...oh well. Thank you guys, I'd say my antibody has slowly succumb to the real men's mechanical tickings...

Having said that, the Dark Side of the Moon Omega and IWC Miramar remains my favourites but unfortunately they're too upmarket for me and I don't have suitable wrist size to for it...

Not just you, I too like BR03 especially the conventional Black Matte finish but I have to go for all rounder BR123 as my so called first premium watch. Hopefully when my money tree grows some more and prosperous, I'll get BR03 and maybe Oris ProPilot series too :)

Thanks Guys  :)

Squasub,

The case should be 43mm but in real life, it looks more like 40mm because my wrist is tiny haha
