Title: Panerai Boutique
Post by: SYSTEM on December 20, 2011, 11:15:02 AM
Hi MWF Members,

Went to Italy with my wife early this month with tour group and visited Florence in the morning. I would like to thank ck77 for reminding me to pay a visit to Panerai boutique over there. Due to not knowing the exact location, I can only search for the boutique and sight seeing at the same time. By the time I found the boutique, I only left precious 10 minutes to go in and have a look before we gather with our tour group for lunch. Before entering, there is a guy standing behind the glass door, he then gesture to the sales person (inside the boutique) to unlock the door (just like the security guard in a watch shop in S***** W***).

The first thing that attracted me after entering is the big glass wall (from ceiling to floor) situated behind the the counter which is the PAM luminor image which indicate the time and date, really impressive. Without wasting much time, I ask the SA the price of the leather strap for my PAM183. He then show me 3 colours (Black, Brown and Vintage), and i took the vintage one. The price is much more cheaper (after tax deduction) compare to buying it from AD in Malaysia.

There are not much model being display (I guess there are less than 10). 2 things that I regretted not doing is spending time looking around and getting their catalogue  :HammerHead:

I did snap some photo in front the boutique and my strap, enjoy. Note: No photo was allowed in the boutique :-\

ooo.... eee.... I will disappoint you as I tend to keep the vintage strap till my existing strap rotten. Initially I wanted to buy the OEM strap and keep my existing one. Now got original one, so will tend to keep it (frame it)  ;D. Doesn't sound like a PAM owner huh? Maybe thats my habit of keeping things new...

If I own a Luminor, maybe I will often switch strap. cos the strap can easily change with proper tool according to my brother who own PAM164. For Radiomir, i will leave it to the expert.

Nice strap the Assolutamente. I like the strap. It is one of the most beautiful OEM strap Panerai has. Don't know what the price is for the Radiomir, but the Luminor version (24 mm) is above RM1,000.
