Hello sifus, just wanted to ask if there are any good Italian made dive watches that r good in quality?? My cousin going to Italy...thanks!!
-
Yes. Last time they order from rolex now made in Switzerland
Officine panerai, Firenze
Aninimo, the ex pam staff run company
Ennebi, ex pam protol type maker
-
the only "Italian Made" divers that comes to my mind are
a. Ennebi
b. Anonimo
c. U-Boat
Panerai is not Italian made anymore.
but why u need to go to italy to get a diver? MRSP for all watch brands are the same throughout europe which uses the single Euro currency. So even if you get a Patek, Rolex, Omega or etc...you'll still get 14-20% VAT rebate.

U boat is a good brand if you're into oversized gigantic watches
-
You may want to try Anonimo carbon diver, its 42mm
-
If it's me I'll go with Anonimo... ;)
-
if it were me, I would not go with any of the options.
Stay with a German diver e.g. Sinn U1 better quality and build by a far mile and prices are not and different too.
-
second the Sinn U1..
nice rubber, submarine steel, clean dial with unique red white hands looks to be within your budget.
-
Thanks on all the replies....switching to Steinhart watches.....
-
Anonimo millemetri...nice design, easy to read dials, macho leather strap...The Watch Case is King at ANONIMO...
-
UTS.....best, min 500m, Max 4000m. But I ccanot afford....

There's a limit on how big the watch is before it looks clownish on the wrist. Personally, it's not the diameter that causes problems, it's the thickness. Anything more than 20mm and you are banging on door frames and walls.
U-Boat sales people like to push the brand as Panerai Pre-Vendôme (before the sale to the company now known as Richemont), that is - it's going to "take off" as a brand soon. I'm not convinced. They seem to have put all their design eggs into one basket - the Classico design that looks very ordinary to me. The model with "snorkel" winding stem seems to be a pretty desperate gimmick.
Panerai IMHO is still your best bet (arguments over it's "made in" status nothwithstanding.)

Panerai is the first that comes to mind but since they've been acquired by the Richemont group production has since moved to Switzerland. Ennebi and Anonimo if you're looking for something off the beaten track.

And the Ennebi in bronze is absolutely gorgeous!
