Title: Anyone here knows where to get a seiko sumo (SBDC001)
Post by: jazzman on November 17, 2011, 07:26:50 AM
Hi all. I'm new here but been lurking for sometime now.

I'm actually looking for a piece of black seiko sumo, whether used (must be in good condition) or new. I would prefer it new though. I've been looking for this piece for quite sometime now. I wish I could afford the marine master but its out of my reach for now. I know I can get it off the net but am not comfortable doing so. Heard too much not so pleasant experience. I hope someone here can shed some light as to where I can get this. I'm sure somewhere, someone is selling this in his shop.

Thank you in advance.

call them. shocked to hear their pricing  :o. compare to the internet sellers, its 17% more after discount. before discount, you don't want to know. not so sure i want it now or is there a better piece out there with the price tag       :Blue:

maybe i should do that, i.e. just go and grab it but then again it is also fun shopping around for a good deal. anyone here dealt with either higuchi or seiyajapan? they too have this model available and at a good price too.

since i do not have a pay pal account, do you guys think its safe to use credit card, wire payment, or take the trouble to initiate a pay pal account. never transact on the net before so have no freaking idea whether its safe or not. how would you guys do it? By the way, most likely I will get the sumo from katsu of higichi-san who is so highly regarded.

I was in Japan 2 months back. The retail price of the Sumo from the bigger shops (Yodobashi, etc) is actually similar to those offered by Higuchi and Seiya.

I was in the same dilemma before, don't have paypal to buy from katsu or higuchi. After think and think again, finally decided to buy it from SS2 shop. Way too much expensive if compared to net, but what to do...  ;D
