My beloved Seiko Diver SKX007J with NATO strap.

Mido Ocean Star, Quartz powered (also no idea what model is this...). Given by my father, the crown thread has worn out, sad... :'( By the way, my mom has another similar Ocean Star as well, but lady size, was a gift from my dad.

After some TLC with professional restorers, you're current collection can go up in value pretty steeply!
Goes to show, with just some care, watches can be passed on to the next generation (and the next....).

I am not sure of the model either. One way to check is ask the AD in Malaysia.
A quick check on the history of Mido may come out with something :

AFAIK, Mido Commander is different in looks from just about every other watch I have seen, while still looking like a vintage design. The Mido has a style all its own that brings to my mind images of ocean liner travel and art-decor. The watch face, its most striking feature, has stick similar to my Seiko 5 that radiates up from the 6 o'clock position and the hour markers and the Ocean Star have a very unusual look (the round dot) about them. I could see this watch fitting in perfecly in that old movie Metropolis. Like it or not, you must admit that this is a design that you are not likely to see everywhere you go.
Mido is not aggressively marketed in Malaysia a few years earlier. But now, one can see them in the print media, banners etc. I'm sure, if earlier most people are not familiar with the brand, now people will sit up and ask "Mido who?".
The company was founded by George Schaeren in 1918 in Biel, Switzerland. Mido has produced a number of technically interesting designs through the years including being the first to combine an automatic movement with anti-shock protection, water resistance and anti-magnetic protection. Mido also is the only company, to my knowledge, that makes use of cork as a crown water seal, and was the first company to use an unbreakable mainspring. Today, Mido is part of the Swatch Group, but the brand still retains much of its old, unique character.
