Company : Volkswagen. Das Auto.
Location : Bukit Jalil Stadium, Car Park B
Time : decide ourselves
Well, this GTG was created from another thread, currently there are 2 groups of GTG, my guess is first in MWF, same place but 2 different date
Saturday 10 Sept
1) Omnipotent
2) Alvin C.
Sunday 11 Spet
1) Siodee
2) Alvin C.
Dont get me wrong, we do not intend to compete each other, just some prefer Sat and some prefer Sun. Now obviously you see Alvin name appear twice, cause he really give face
So, whoever want to join us, please do so...
P/S : Since it is German car show, make sense to have a German watches GTG, so Sinn and Damasko owners will be happy to GTG and showcase the watches. Well, I will wear soon deliver Damasko, and my session is on Sunday ;D

DC, thanks for the link...now I wonder, no chic, only guys, hmmm, should go should not
-
Ya lor. No beautiful chics around like most auto show, so maybe a bit lukewarm response unless for diehard VW fans or "anything German" fans.
The only good thing is free admission, unlike the KLIMS.

Was passing Bkt Jalil last evening, and found the followings :
-
The crowd was long, very long.
Even after I left the area at 6.15pm the line is half the length of Bkt Jalil car park.
Last pic in the earlier post taken from peak of Bkt Jalil during my evening walk.
Was wearing this when I took the pics :
-
Yup, you are absolutely right, the queue is very long, well, I did go there and just stop for like 10 min, take some photo, then cabut. ;D, and went to Sri Petaling for the famous BAO :Dancing_banana:

Yeah me and Jacky went around almost the same time on Sat.
Saw the line, u-turn cioz.
Saw some pics from my friend's FB, looks like the models inside can be viewed in showroom. Nothing special.
-
Sri petaling is famous for 'gai woh bao' chicken nest bao
Yip Ji Mei bao in tmn Connaught!

+1 for Chris..spot it right... but expensive la....then it also taste good. ;D

aii.... Das Auto show was to me quite a let down. After the queue of 40plus minutes, you are ushered into the "worm" hole to see some existing VWs. All the cars are locked..
Being only a handful of models available, very soon everyone was bored and wanted to move on to the next stage of the event..the dome view..
So, off all couple of hundreds folks cramped into small revolving doors and into the dome stadium. Panoramic scenes were projected onto the dome skin, and various models of VW cars were driven around the stage.
At the end of the show, selected individual cars were driven down from the stage onto the dome floor for folks to have a close up view, then it was driven away.
A good 15 minutes later, show ends and everyone got off a door that leads to the outside of the dome. THE END.
Its totally an anti-climax experience indeed bordering kinda let-down.
There's no static cars displayed outside for you to check them out, feel it, sit in it etc.., not even a test drive, nothing.
I would say VW Mktg did a good job to stir interest but pretty lacking in actions of selling the cars.

;D

Peiseh,
U were lucky to q for 40 mins., I q for 2 hours and spend 20 mins in the dome & car display before going off. Stupid organiser... :Blue:
-
Alvin, which day u went? Sat or Sun? Queue for 2 hrs??? Wow, guess you really want the Golf
-
I went on Sun evening.
Still, after seeing the Golf TSI, I find it too simple inside & out. No leather seats also... but the engine & tranny, warranty are good.
-
Nothing a nice bodykit and rims wont fix.

2-door car does not fit my profile with 3 kids. ;D
Maybe consumers nowadays are spoiled with too much options... hard to make decision sometimes.
