Got this on the mail today. One of my favourite strap maker, really good quality with a wonderful price to boot.
Sent him the specs and couple of e-mails later, it's a done deal.
The original Horween leather is great out of the box but abit fragile after a few wear. The piping on the sides are peeling slightly so a call to George was made because I want to retain the use of the original buckle for this custom strap.
The strap:

I chose a golden tan colour with natural waxed linen. Waxed lined have a higher propensity to fray when compared to nylon threads but it looks more natural and better in my opinion.
One thing i do like about this guy is that he makes really good beefy sews in all his straps. You can see how he secures his keepers.

You can see the contrast in the stitching between both straps.

A few minutes with the springbar tool and some cellophane tape, the transformation is done.
I guess the old boy gets a new lease of life.

not wotancraft. they did not get back to me after i left them my e-mail.
this is another Taiwanese strap maker. I used the original specs for this one because i wanted to use the original buckle with it.

terrenceterrence,
Nice strap. Can you pm me the person and the cost. I may need to get some made. Wotancraft do not do straps like these. Their tends to be more utilitarian. Thanks.

Looks good. Looks like George Lan from Cheergiant straps? Cheergiant is fast becoming one of my favourite strap maker.

terrenceterrence, mind to enlighten me why you use some cellophane tape for the strap transformation? ;D

tape the lugs or anywhere along the watch to prevent scratches by the springbar and removal tool

crappy iphone photos..
testing this out today. loving the colour combo and just realise how comfortable a taper in the strap feels.
maybe will get a smaller buckle for my Pam and get some tapered straps in both width and thickness for a feel. That one have been in cold storage for quite some time.
well this is how it looks ...
