I'm planning to spend around RM6k or below for a mechanical watch,
and i was listed it but still unable to decide yet,
first time wanted to buy a mechanical watch which i save up for almost a year for it,
so worry i will do a wrong decision ???
and any sifu here give some advise? My wrist is 7 inches.
1. Oris ProDiver Date
2. Archimades Pilot XLA Automatic
3. Sinn 1746 Klassik
4. Domasko DA36
or any recommendation within this budget is highly appreciated.
TQ

Among the 4 i'd go with the Oris. What about the Longines LLD? A better way would be to buy pre-owned. Then you got some leftovers for another one in the nearer future.

Ball hydrocarbon series
-
How about Omega Speedmaster Pro? Consider up ur budget a bit for this. I think it is slightly more than what u budgeted
-
Choose whichever your heart tells you to bro, take all advise but follow your own heart ;) All your 4 choices are good watches BTW.
-
If it was me with the 4 choices that you give...
I would go with the Damasko... got spare change left
-

another  for a speedy pro. historic, iconic and timeless... if you bought one pre-owned, you could still flog it off the same price you bought it should your taste in watches changes.
winding it every morning builds relationship
-
1 Sinn U series
2 Omega moonwatch preowned
3 Ball diver
-
I think a lot of Damasko now either sold out or no stock.
If you are considering Sinn, how about a U1? with change to spare also.
-
When ur speedy arriving? :)

Bro, there is no right or wrong decision, only you buy it at good price or not. If you have decided these 4, then my choice will be Oris lor, if you still hunting, then look at some pre-owned watches...Good Luck

wow tq for all sifus' reply
today I found a pre-own tag heuer aquaracer automatic chronograft - 41mm in a poem shop
after discount I felt it's a very good price to get
it's around rm4.5k c/w all box, warranty card, even the previous owner paying resit,
n its look very new,
the only problem is I dun really like the design, n i prefer more clean design,
prefer pilot watch design,
n I went to window shop again for watch,
n the Oris Swiss hunter team PS attract me a lot,
it's so beautiful, really really beautiful watch...
the only concern is I found quite a few negetive command on the sellita sw200 movement,
any sifu have experience on this sw200 movement?
should I go for it?
tqvm

sw200 jus a clone of eta 2824-2 but with more jewels if i can remember correctly...
earlier batches hv some small issue but now ok.... many brands using it now....
-
The Sellita is indeed a clone of the 2824 and has been
around for some time now. Oris has been using them
for a few years, the first batch I think had some finishing
problems like dust in the dial or caseback and some
accuracy problems. I believe though that they have all
been corrected. Reading other forums shows that
even Breitling, Anonimo, and B&R have used Sellita
movements
Hope this helps ;)

He asked the question 5 years ago. Curious as to which watch he end up with.
-
Check out Oris Aquis Diver Gradient Blue (43mm) with rubber strap. Its a good watch for everyday use. Very robust watch.

"Which watch shld i buy with my budget", or shall we rephrase it to "shld i save up for my grail watch?"
I will not opt for the former as its determined by the available CURRENT budget, which can certainly bag the watch, but, it may or may not be the desired one. The latter, however, is a fairly difficult decision to make too, as we may or may not be able to get the desired grail, pending on permutations from now till the projected future.
-
To me a Grail watch is one that will end the yearning for all other watches.
In the many years in this hobby my grail always evolve. Everytime I reach the stage of able to afford my 'Grail' a new one appears. It is never ending.
This is the curse of this hobby.

Its a matter of different philosophy ...... Grail is the ultimate one & only desired goal within my lifespan, or else, I will be chasing after a never-ending shadow ...... very tiring & disruptive "curse" to my life.
