Hi there, just wondering whether mechanical watch is designed to withstand sport like golf? I know Tag Heuer has come up with Tag heuer for golf but just wondering whether the rest of mechanical watch is ok to be worn during a golf game.
Thanks!

Yeah, many golfers are being endorsed by AP i.e Lee Westwood, Jimenez, Darren Clarke etc. Can see AP logo on their T-shirts :) I think a few others wear Rolex.

I recon a G-Shock is still best for golf.
My dad wore his Tag quartz for golf for many years. One time the dial came off!
Lucky the watchmaker manage to fix it back (dont know how) and now its just a casual wear watch.
Asked Tag about the repair and i got it fixed outside for 5% of what Tag was gonna charge me.

the case back Amortiser system to protects the movement against extreme shocks from golf

I was just gonna post that too hehe.
But do you think the weight of the Ball watch will affect the "balance" of the swing since its so heavy?
-
tough looking casing not gonna protect the mechanism from shock. it can protect the movement from damage from physical contact but not the shock. hitting the golf during the swing sends shock wave from the golf ball to the hand hence the watch thru the golf club.
-
It's still looks like a Casio G-Shock will do the job. Plan to get one with reasonable price, just for "extreme" activities ;D I also see a few golfers remove their expensive watch during a golf game, afraid it will be damage.

Those day when I played golf, I wear Seiko quartz, no problem, still function after the game

Hi as for me I am wearing a suunto G6pro during golf and driving range. Hope this help but it's still a quartz.
